Long time, no me.
Well, I haven't posted in a while. Not that anyone reads my blog anyways but the friends I force to look at it -sighs-. Anywho, I've been working like crazy, and still trying to squeeze a little crochet in every now and then. Mostly, I'm doing granny squares. I tried a granny hexagon yesterday, and it made my head hurt. I'll get it one day! But anyways, just thought I'd update just in case some lone mystery person checks my blog, and due to the lack of recent posts, believes me to be dead. I'm here, no worries.

Pattern
I changed my pattern some. I did 10 drawstring holes instead of 6. I think it looks better plus it closes the top more. You just do 2 hdc and then the ch1 and sk1. I may also experiment with making bigger bags.

Here it is! Yay!
And here's the pattern!
Instructions for crocheted loot bag with optional belt attachment.
materials: ball of Peaches n Cream yarn, color of your choice(I used licorice), size G
(4.25MM) crochet hook, yarn needle for weaving in ends and attaching belt strap.Scissors.
Skills needed:chain(ch) slip stitch, single crochet(sc), half double crochet(hdc) Basic
sewing with yarn. Optional materials and skills-sewing needle, thread, and snap buttons to sew on. Basic sewing skills.
Pouch:
-chain 3 and join, or use magic circle.
-Round 1:10 hdc in middle of ring, don't join, just continually work in a spiral.
-Round 2:2hdc in each hdc=20 hdc.Place stitch marker in last stitch.
-Round 3:1 hdc in *1st hdc, 2 hdc in 2nd hdc* Repeat until you get to end of round=30 hdc
-Rounds 4-16:1 hdc in each hdc.
-Round 17:make holes for drawstring(6) 4hdc,ch 1,sk1. Continue all the way around.
-Rounds 18&19: 1 hdc in each st(30).
At end of round sk1 and slip stitch to join and even off round. Cut end and pull through
loop to even off round. Weave in ends.
Drawstring:
Chain 60(more if you want a longer string). Turn, ch 1, 60 sc. Bind off and weave in ends.
If you just wanted a bag, now you're done! But if you want to wear it then read on.
Belt Strap:
ch 4.Work 20 rows in sc. Bind off and weave in ends.
Sew on top(with top folded over kinda like a mug handle)
Now, you have 2 options:
1) Sew bottom on
or
2) sew on snap buttons so you don't have to take your belt off if you want to take the pouch
off.(that's what I did!)
There you have it! If you want it bigger, just do more increases(10 per row) and do more
rounds. Smaller? Less increases and less rounds.

I'm coming up with my first crochet pattern! When I'm done I'll post with a picture of the finished project and of course the pattern. I just hope it turns out like I imagined it in my head...
